An investment contract has been signed to develop an integrated gas storage, filling, and distribution plant in the city of Hail. The agreement, concluded on 16 September 2026, sees Unigaz Arabia take on the development, investment, management, operation, and maintenance of the facility.
The project carries a value of SAR 70 million and will be built on a site covering 200,000 square meters in the Hail region. It is planned as a logistics hub designed to meet residential and commercial demand for LPG and gas across the area.
The plant is expected to support wider economic development in the region and create job opportunities for local talent. It falls under LPG infrastructure development licenses issued by the Ministry of Energy, which cover establishment, development, operation, maintenance, and wholesale LPG distribution.
In June 2026, the Ministry of Energy awarded Unigaz Arabia three LPG licenses to establish filling and storage facilities in Riyadh, Hail, and Al-Ahsa, along with a kingdom-wide wholesale LPG distribution license. The Hail plant is part of this broader licensing framework.
For residents and businesses in Hail, the new facility promises a more reliable local supply chain for household and commercial gas needs. While the project announcement confirms the investment value and scope, no consumer pricing, service fees, or application procedures specific to the plant have been published at this stage.
