Saudi Arabia has recalled 163 BMW S 1000 RR motorcycles across model years 2019 to 2025 due to a defect in the ignition-switch lock that may cause the engine to stop suddenly while the motorcycle is in motion.
The sudden loss of engine power during riding poses a safety risk, prompting the recall so affected units can be inspected and repaired at no cost to owners.
Owners are advised to verify whether their motorcycle is included by checking the vehicle identification number (VIN) through the Recalls.sa platform. Those with an affected motorcycle should contact Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Company on 8001238000 to arrange the necessary service.
All required recall repairs are being carried out free of charge. No owner fee or application fee has been specified, and no deadline has been announced for completing the repairs.
Recalls of this kind form part of ongoing efforts to protect road users and ensure vehicles on Saudi roads meet safety standards. Owners of the listed models are encouraged to act promptly and confirm their VIN to keep their motorcycle safe to ride.
