Saudi authorities have announced the recall of 163 BMW S 1000 RR motorcycles sold in the Kingdom, covering model years 2019 through 2025, due to a safety defect in the ignition lock.
the ignition-lock fault may cause the engine to stop unexpectedly while the motorcycle is being ridden. Such an issue can increase the risk of losing control, making it important for owners to act promptly.
Owners are advised to verify whether their motorcycle is affected by checking its Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) through the Saudi defective-product recall service, Recalls.sa. Those with affected units should contact Mohammed Yousuf Naghi Company at 8001238000 to arrange the necessary repairs.
Repairs at no cost
The required repairs will be carried out free of charge for affected owners. No owner fee or government fee was announced, and no validity period or deadline was specified for completing the service.
Recalls of this kind are part of ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure road safety across the Kingdom. Riders of the BMW S 1000 RR are encouraged to confirm their motorcycle's status as soon as possible and follow the official guidance to have any defect addressed.
