Saudi Banking Assets Hit SAR 5.75tn in July 2026

The total assets of Saudi Arabia's banking system reached approximately SAR 5.75 trillion (about USD 1.5 trillion) in July 2026, marking a fresh milestone for the sector and reflecting steady growth over the past year.

The July figure edged up from around SAR 5.73 trillion in June 2026, a monthly gain of roughly 0.27%. On an annual basis, the increase is far more pronounced: banking assets stood at about SAR 5.38 trillion in July 2025, meaning the sector grew close to 6.7% year-on-year.

Separate sector figures for banks operating in the Kingdom put consolidated bank assets at around SAR 5.19 trillion in July 2026, up about 7% compared with the same month a year earlier. Total bank deposits at the end of July 2026 reached roughly SAR 3.11 trillion, an increase of nearly 9% year-on-year.

For residents and businesses across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, a larger and better-funded banking sector generally signals a healthy financial environment. Rising deposits point to continued confidence among savers, while an expanding asset base supports lending capacity for consumers and companies alike.
