Saudi EXIM Bank raised its credit facilities by about 17% in the first half of 2026, with total support reaching roughly SAR 27.67–27.94 billion, the equivalent of around USD 7.3 billion. The increase compares with about SAR 23.61 billion in the same period of 2025.
The facilities were split between two main lines of support. Export financing accounted for around SAR 8.20 billion in disbursements, while export credit insurance provided about SAR 19.74 billion in coverage for Saudi exporters. Since the bank was established, cumulative credit facilities have now reached roughly SAR 144 billion.
The growth was directed specifically at non-oil Saudi exporters, covering non-oil products and services. The larger share allocated to export credit insurance in 2026 reflects a deeper focus on protecting and expanding the Kingdom's non-oil trade, a central goal under national economic diversification plans.
Why it matters
For businesses across Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and beyond, the expanded support offers Saudi-registered companies more room to finance exports and insure against payment risks when selling abroad. Support is mainly available to firms holding valid commercial registration and meeting the Kingdom's regulatory and credit requirements.
Exporters can access financing and insurance products directly through the Saudi EXIM Bank online portal or via corporate channels and relationship managers. Fees, margins and premiums for 2026 are set on a case-by-case basis, depending on the risk profile, tenor and structure of each transaction, rather than through published fixed price lists. Validity periods for individual facilities and insurance policies are defined in the signed contracts, based on the terms of each export deal.
