Saudi Fintech Industrial Lending Jumps 130% in H1 2026

Fintech lending to industrial projects in Saudi Arabia reached SAR 541 million in the first half of 2026, up from SAR 234 million in the same period of 2025, an increase of about 130%. The jump signals rapid growth in digital credit as an alternative funding channel for manufacturers.

The half-year figure already represents roughly 70% of the total fintech financing directed to the industrial sector in all of 2025, which stood at SAR 774 million. The number of fintech companies lending to industrial projects under partnerships with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources rose from three in the first half of 2025 to seven in the first half of 2026.

Active digital lenders in industrial project financing this year include Tameed, Tarmeez (Tamra) Capital, Dinar Holding, Forus, Yanal Finance, Sukuk Capital and Lendo. The growth is driven by partnerships between the ministry and licensed platforms to widen access to alternative digital funding for industrial SMEs.

Backed by development financing

Fintech lending complements sovereign and development lending by the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), which in 2026 uses fully digital applications integrated with industrial licensing and customs systems for faster disbursement. Its Promising Factories Initiative offers funding of up to 50% of project cost, advance disbursement of up to 20% of the loan, a grace period of up to 24 months, and a tenor of up to 10 years.

Broader SIDF terms in 2026 include financing of up to 75% of project cost in promising or less-developed regions and up to 50% in major industrial cities, grace periods of up to three years on some products, and nominal administrative fees instead of commercial interest. Applications are processed fully online with automatic data retrieval from the Senaei licensing platform and Fasah customs. Total industrial financing in 2026 is described as reaching record levels, with commitments in the hundreds of billions of riyals.
