Saudia to Launch Seasonal Riyadh–Muscat Flights

Saudia will launch a new seasonal direct route between Riyadh and Muscat starting 27 October 2026, offering three weekly nonstop flights between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Muscat International Airport. Bookings are already open through the airline's official digital channels.

The service forms part of Saudia's wider seasonal international network expansion, aimed at strengthening air links between Saudi Arabia and Oman and responding to rising travel demand between the two capitals. The three weekly flights operate as direct services with no intermediate stops, and have been approved by Oman's Civil Aviation Authority.

Travelers can reserve seats through the Saudia website's online booking engine and the airline's mobile applications. The airline's contact center and ticket offices may also assist with bookings, though the announced opening is focused on the digital channels.

What travelers should know

Fares for the Riyadh–Muscat route appear to be dynamic, varying by booking date, class of service, and demand. No fixed ticket prices, surcharges, or baggage fee tables have been published for this specific route, and standard Saudia international ticket conditions apply to changes, refunds, and stay periods.

Cross-border travel requirements continue to follow the general immigration rules of Saudi Arabia and Oman, with no route-specific changes to visa or entry procedures announced. For residents and expats in Riyadh, the new connection offers a convenient direct option to reach the Omani capital during the season, saving time by avoiding connecting flights.
