Riyadh Air is set to connect the Saudi capital with northern England through a new direct service between Riyadh and Manchester, with the route scheduled to begin on 23 July 2026. The move adds another destination to the carrier's expanding United Kingdom network.
The service operates three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The outbound flight, RX417, departs Riyadh (RUH) at 01:30 and arrives in Manchester (MAN) at 06:40. The return flight, RX418, leaves Manchester at 08:40 and lands back in Riyadh at 17:20.
What it means for travellers
For residents and expats in the Kingdom, the new link offers a direct option to and from one of the UK's major cities, cutting out connecting stops and simplifying journeys for business, study and family travel. Manchester serves as a key gateway to northern England, making the route convenient for a wide catchment of passengers.
The early-morning departure from Riyadh and mid-morning arrival in Manchester give travellers a full day on arrival, while the return timings bring passengers back to Riyadh the same evening. Three weekly frequencies provide flexibility for both short trips and longer stays.
The addition of Manchester reflects the carrier's steady build-out of its international map as it grows its presence on routes linking Saudi Arabia with Europe. Passengers planning to travel on the route are advised to confirm exact schedules and booking details ahead of the July 2026 start date.
