Seasonal Flu Vaccine Available in Saudi Arabia

Seasonal influenza vaccination began across Saudi Arabia on 16 September 2026, with appointment booking now open to residents and citizens. The vaccine is available through Ministry of Health health centers and participating private-sector facilities.

To book, download or open the Sehhaty application and select the Seasonal Influenza Vaccine service. Vaccination at Ministry of Health centers is free of charge. No verified nationwide private-sector price was identified.

Who should get it

The vaccine is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older, with priority for children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic diseases, people with weakened immunity, pilgrims, and travelers to affected areas. The influenza vaccine is considered suitable before, during, and after pregnancy.

Health authorities recommend getting vaccinated before the main influenza season, which generally runs from October to January. Because protection is seasonal, a new dose is required each year; there is no multi-year validity period, so the vaccine should be taken annually.

Seasonal influenza vaccination is also recommended for Hajj pilgrims, and vaccination status can be checked through the Sehhaty application. With the season approaching, taking the shot early helps protect individuals and reduces the spread of the virus within families and communities.
