A joint venture agreement worth SAR 3.2 billion has been signed to develop and deliver Riyadh Expo Village, the residential community designated for participants and delegations of Expo 2030 Riyadh. The deal, concluded between Expo 2030 Riyadh and Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate Company, marks the first major joint venture milestone for the event and moves the village from planning into an advanced implementation and construction phase.
The project will deliver around 2,300 residential units designed to accommodate roughly 5,500 residents, mainly official participants and delegations. The purpose-built accommodation forms part of an integrated, sustainable district that includes retail and dining spaces, amenities, services, and operational facilities, alongside internal mobility and support infrastructure tailored to Expo operations.
Connectivity is central to the design. Riyadh Expo Village will link directly to the Expo metro station, مطار الملك خالد الدولي, and the wider Riyadh public transport network, offering fast access between the village and the Expo 2030 Riyadh site.
Under the joint venture structure, Expo 2030 Riyadh provides strategic oversight, defines project requirements, and ensures alignment with the Expo master plan and international participation framework. Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate Company is responsible for the development, investment, and operations of the village.
Why it matters
The agreement is intended to mobilize private-sector participation and build long-term economic value around the event. For the community, it signals accelerating construction activity in الرياض ahead of Expo 2030. However, residential pricing for the units has not yet been made public, and official channels for booking, accreditation, or contract processing for residents and delegations have not been announced as of mid-September 2026.
