Wa'ad Campaign Targets 4.5M Training Chances by 2028

The Wa'ad campaign is aiming to provide 4.5 million training and qualification opportunities for Saudi national cadres by 2028, in a nationwide effort led by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in partnership with public- and private-sector entities.

As of September 2026, the campaign had already completed more than 2 million training opportunities. The 4.5 million goal marks an increase from an earlier target of more than 3 million, reflecting a wider push to build workforce skills across the Kingdom.

The campaign runs on a national scale, with recent training forums held in several Saudi regions, including Hail and Al-Baha. Registration is not handled through a single unified portal; instead, participants sign up via the relevant participating employer, training provider, or campaign forum. Fees, where they apply, depend on the individual provider and program, and no campaign-wide standard price has been announced.

Why it matters

For residents and job seekers, the campaign expands access to skills development that can improve employment prospects and career growth. Related support has also flowed through Human Resources Development Fund training programs, which have benefited more than 1.5 million people with support exceeding SAR 3.8 billion.

No campaign-wide certificate or offer validity period has been announced, and there is no confirmed requirement to use a specific government app for enrollment. Those interested should follow official Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announcements and register through the channels of participating providers.
