Wadi Jeddah Plans $10M Venture Fund for Startups

Wadi Jeddah has announced plans for a venture fund worth $10 million aimed at supporting Saudi startups and innovation projects, with the fund expected to launch in early 2027.

The initiative is designed to provide early-stage companies with the capital they need to grow, adding another financing option to the Kingdom's expanding entrepreneurship ecosystem. the fund is still in the planning stage, and formal details on how startups can apply have not yet been set.

Separately, Wadi Jeddah's incubator has allocated SAR 1 million to support 10 startups, providing SAR 100,000 to each. This incubator support is distinct from the proposed venture fund and reflects ongoing efforts to nurture young companies at the earliest phases of their journey.

Why it matters

For entrepreneurs in Jeddah and across the Kingdom, dedicated funding channels can make the difference between an idea remaining on paper and turning into a working business. Access to venture capital and incubator grants helps founders cover early costs, build teams, and test products in the market.

The planned fund also aligns with the broader national push to diversify the economy and strengthen the technology and innovation sectors. As the launch date approaches, startups and investors will be watching for further details on eligibility, application steps, and the types of projects the fund intends to back.
