Air India Suspends Riyadh, Dammam Flights to Nov 7

Air India and Air India Express have extended the suspension of their flights to and from Riyadh and Dammam through November 7, 2026, while flights to and from Jeddah remain suspended through October 31, 2026. The suspension affects only the carriers' specific Saudi routes and does not represent any general closure of Riyadh or Dammam airports.

Passengers holding eligible bookings issued by October 24, 2026, with travel dates through November 7, may qualify for flexible rebooking or a full refund. Travellers are advised to review their options and confirm their status before heading to the airport.

Rebooking Options

Air India passengers may receive one complimentary rebooking to or from an operating Saudi station, subject to availability, with replacement travel to be completed by November 21, 2026. Air India Express passengers may receive one complimentary rebooking through an operating Saudi or Bahrain station, also subject to availability, with the same November 21 completion deadline.

The disruption is relevant to the large Indian community living and working across Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah, many of whom rely on these routes for family travel and business trips. Those with upcoming journeys should factor the changes into their plans and consider alternative operating stations where possible.

All affected travellers are strongly encouraged to verify their booking status directly with the operating airline before travelling, as availability for rebooking may be limited and arrangements can change at short notice.
