Akasa Air has extended the suspension of all its flights to and from Riyadh through October 24, 2026. The airline said the decision reflects the prevailing security situation in the Middle East, as it continues to monitor conditions affecting its operations in the region.
The carrier has also suspended flights to and from Jeddah through October 21, 2026, leaving travellers on both routes needing to adjust their plans.
Passengers affected by the suspension have two options. They may request a full refund to the original payment method, which the airline said will be processed within seven days. Alternatively, travellers can reschedule their flights without paying any additional charges.
Those who booked through travel agents or other travel partners are advised to contact the agent or partner directly to arrange a refund or rescheduling, rather than dealing with the airline itself.
The extended suspension matters for residents and travellers in Saudi Arabia who had planned trips on these routes, as it may require changes to itineraries and connecting arrangements. Passengers are encouraged to confirm their booking status and review their options early to avoid last-minute disruption.
