Al Akaria Awards SAR 479M Porta Jeddah Contracts

Al Akaria has awarded the main structural and project management contracts for its Porta Jeddah mixed-use development in Jeddah, with the two Package One agreements together valued at about SAR 479 million. The Package One structural contract was signed on 15 September 2026, following earlier award announcements in May 2026.

Mounes Mohamed Alshayeb for Civil Construction (MOBCO) was appointed as the main structural contractor for Package One under a contract worth SAR 463,132,910, excluding VAT. Its scope covers structural works for all project components including the hotel, external façades for all components, electromechanical works across the project excluding the hotel's interior finishing and electromechanical works, as well as the public plazas and landscaped areas. The contract duration is described as two years and three months, equivalent to 820 calendar days in the market disclosure.

Al Akaria also signed a project management and construction management (PMC) contract for Porta Jeddah with Saudi Arabian Parsons Limited, valued at SAR 15,883,000.

Porta Jeddah is planned as a mixed-use destination combining hospitality, retail and workspace. It will include a lifestyle hotel and serviced apartments totalling 238 keys, retail, dining and entertainment space with a gross floor area of about 29,494 square metres, and Grade A office space with a gross floor area of around 26,339 square metres.

For residents in Jeddah, the project adds another mixed-use destination to the city, bringing new hospitality, shopping and office options once complete. These are commercial agreements between Al Akaria and private contractors and do not involve any public e-services or fees.
