Expo 2030 Riyadh has signed a joint venture agreement worth SAR 3.2 billion (about USD 853 million) to develop Expo Village, a purpose-built residential community that will host participants and delegations during the world exposition in الرياض. The deal, signed in September 2026, was concluded with Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate Company (MAHR) and marks Expo 2030 Riyadh's first joint venture.
Under the agreement, Expo 2030 Riyadh will provide strategic oversight and define the project's requirements, while Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate Company will lead development, investment, and operations of the community.
Expo Village is designed as a fully integrated, sustainable district offering a full range of amenities. It will comprise around 2,300 residential units with capacity for roughly 5,500 residents, aiming to give international participants a convenient and comfortable base throughout the event.
The community is located in الرياض and connects directly to the Expo 2030 Riyadh site through Expo Station, with links to مطار الملك خالد الدولي and the wider Riyadh transport network. This positioning is intended to support smooth day-to-day operations during the six-month exposition.
Why it matters
The project reflects the scale of preparations underway for Expo 2030 Riyadh and its long-term ambitions. After the exposition, Saudi Arabia plans to transform the site into a permanent, sustainable global village, extending its use well beyond the fair itself.
As of mid-September 2026, no rental prices, accommodation tariffs, booking procedures, or fee schedules for Expo Village units have been publicly published. سعودي ليفنج will share further details for residents and participants as they become available.
