Fintech Loans to Saudi Industry Jump 130% in H1 2026

Fintech lending to Saudi industrial projects climbed 130% in the first half of 2026, reaching about SAR 541 million compared with SAR 234 million in the same period a year earlier. The number of fintech companies partnering to finance industrial projects also more than doubled, rising from three to seven.

The first-half figure already represents roughly 70% of the full-year 2025 total, which stood at SAR 774 million. The sector has grown steadily in recent years, with total fintech financing to Saudi industry at SAR 317 million in 2023 and SAR 569 million in 2024 before reaching last year's level.

Fintech partners active in the first half of 2026 include Tameed, Tarmeez (Tamra) Capital, Dinar Holding, Forus, Yanal Finance, Sukuk Capital, and Lendo. Their lending products cover working-capital financing, invoice (receivables) financing, and expansion funding for industrial projects.

Why it matters

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources says these partnerships aim to close financing gaps for industrial enterprises, keep production lines running, and make it easier for factories to expand operations. For smaller manufacturers, faster access to working capital and receivables funding can ease cash-flow pressure and support day-to-day operations.

The trend reflects the growing weight of fintech in the Kingdom's financing landscape. By mid-2026, fintech accounted for more than 95% of private debt raised in Saudi Arabia. During the first half of the year, the fintech sector raised around USD 147 million locally, or roughly 67% of total startup funding in the Kingdom.

As of August 2026, applications for these industrial loans are handled directly through the respective fintech companies and Ministry partnership channels, with no specific government platform mandated. Loan terms, ticket sizes, and pricing are set individually by each provider and are not published as unified national schedules.
