Free STEM Platform Driving Force Expands in Saudi Arabia

A free education platform focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) has expanded its reach in Saudi Arabia, teaching students aged 8 to 18 through the world of electric motorsport. The upgraded program, called Driving Force Presented by PIF, was announced on 14 August 2026 and now broadens its e-learning access globally while continuing its hands-on activities inside the Kingdom.

The program has reached 111,200 students across 1,100 schools worldwide, including more than 4,500 students in Saudi Arabia. It delivers its lessons through digital content and in-person workshops, all offered free of charge to students, parents, and teachers.

Built around the fourth-generation electric race car and real racing environments, the platform offers students interactive challenges, quizzes, games, and prizes. Parents receive materials to help support their children's STEM interests and explore future career paths in mobility and sustainability, while teachers are provided with ready-to-use classroom plans and activities suitable for schools in Jeddah, Riyadh, and beyond.

Activities inside the Kingdom

In Saudi Arabia, the program runs workshops, school visits, and trackside access tied to electric racing events such as the 2026 E1 Jeddah GP. Sessions have been hosted at venues including King Abdulaziz University's faculty of maritime studies in Jeddah. The content covers sustainable mobility, engineering, data, broadcast technology, and event operations.

Access is available through the program's dedicated website and e-learning portal, with registration handled online. Workshops in the Kingdom are arranged directly through local schools and universities. The initiative is described as ongoing and expanding through 2026, with content regularly updated to reflect new motorsport technology and sustainability standards, giving Saudi families and educators a practical, no-cost route to inspire the next generation in science and technology.
