Qiddiya Investment Company launched its Playmakers Training Programmes in October 2024 to prepare Saudi talent for careers in the entertainment and hospitality sectors. Applications are submitted through Qiddiya’s online training-programmes platform by selecting a programme and completing its application.
The first announced programme was an Entertainment Destination Management Associate Diploma, launched in partnership with the General Entertainment Authority. It is designed to equip participants with skills relevant to running and managing entertainment destinations.
The initiative supports broad employment objectives tied to Qiddiya’s development, with the company targeting 325,000 jobs within Qiddiya City and 22,000 additional jobs across Saudi Arabia. Training programmes such as Playmakers aim to build the local workforce needed to fill these roles.
Why it matters
For young Saudis and job seekers, the programmes offer a structured pathway into fast-growing entertainment and hospitality fields. As Qiddiya City takes shape, demand for trained professionals in these sectors is expected to rise, making early participation a way to prepare for future opportunities.
Applicants interested in taking part can browse the available programmes on Qiddiya’s training-programmes platform, choose a suitable option, and complete the online application. Further details on intake dates, seats, locations, duration, certification, and employment terms had not been confirmed at launch.
