SAR 24.4M Deal for KKU Dental Hospital Support

A three-year contract worth SAR 24,399,786.24 including VAT has been awarded to provide clinical medical support services and equipment maintenance at the Dental Hospital of King Khalid University in Abha. The notice of award was received on 25 August 2026 (12 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1448 AH).

The scope covers clinical medical support and the maintenance of equipment across the clinics and laboratories of the Dental Hospital. The agreement runs for 36 months, giving the university continuity in specialist dental care and technical upkeep over the full term.

The financial impact of the project is expected to begin appearing in the awarded company’s results from the fourth quarter of 2026. No involvement of related parties has been stated for this contract.

The award follows an earlier contract for similar services at the College of Educational Dentistry Hospital at King Khalid University in Abha, valued at SAR 24,912,272.16 including VAT, also for three years. Separately, a non-medical maintenance, cleaning, and operation project for the Medical City at the university runs for 36 months at a value of SAR 56,288,083.53 including VAT.

Why it matters

Consistent clinical support and reliable equipment maintenance underpin the quality and availability of dental care for residents in Abha and the wider Asir region. For patients, the multi-year arrangement points to steadier services and reduced disruption at one of the area’s main teaching hospitals.

Tender and contract processes with Saudi public universities are handled through the government e-procurement channel Etimad under the Ministry of Finance, which allows registered suppliers and government entities to view tenders, submit bids, and manage contracts.
