A Saudi-Chinese joint venture has secured a contract worth about SAR 1.15 billion (US$306 million), including VAT, to deliver the façades of Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya City, Riyadh Region. The value excluding VAT is roughly SAR 997 million.
The winning entity, IKK Fangda JV Co., brings together Chinese firm Shihui International Holdings — owned by China Fangda Group — with a 51% stake, and Saudi company Isam Kabbani & Partners, part of IKK Group, holding 49%. The agreement was signed with Uptown Stadium Construction JV, formed by FCC Construcción and Nesma & Partners.
The scope covers the design, supply, and installation of curtain-wall façades for the main stadium, the museum, and the ancillary buildings. The execution period is set at 863 days.
Why it matters
The stadium is one of the venues planned for the 2034 FIFA World Cup, which the Kingdom is set to host. Projects of this scale are part of a broader push to expand sports and entertainment infrastructure in and around the capital, creating jobs and drawing international engineering and construction partners to the Saudi market.
This is a construction project. No visitor prices, operating hours, ticketing details, or operating facilities have been announced for the stadium at this stage.
