A Saudi-Chinese joint venture has secured a contract worth SAR 1,146,877,544, including tax, to carry out curtain-wall works at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium in Qiddiya City, within the Riyadh Region. The deal was signed on 18 October 2026 with Uptown Stadium Construction JV.
The venture behind the award is IKK Fangda JV Company, in which an affiliate of China Fangda holds 51 percent and an affiliate of Saudi IKK Group holds 49 percent. Before tax, the contract is valued at SAR 997,284,821.
The scope of work covers the design, supply of materials, and installation of curtain walls across the project. Lot 1 applies to the main stadium, while Lot 3 covers the museum and the ancillary buildings on the site.
The contract runs for 863 days, or roughly two years and four months, placing the curtain-wall works on a clear timeline within the broader stadium build.
Why it matters
Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium is part of the large-scale development taking shape in Qiddiya City, one of the Kingdom's major entertainment and sports destinations near the capital. Major construction packages like this one support jobs, supply chains, and local contractors, and they signal steady progress on venues expected to host sporting and cultural events for residents across the Riyadh Region in the years ahead.
