Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Tabuk has received its first seasonal direct flight from Sochi, Russia, marking a new international link for the northwest region of Saudi Arabia. The service, operated by Azimuth Airlines under Cluster2 Airports, launched as the first flight on the route for 2026.
The Tabuk–Sochi route operates once using Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) aircraft. It connects Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Airport (TUU) with Sochi International Airport (AER).
The new connection is part of wider efforts to strengthen international air connectivity, expand destination networks, and support tourism and economic activity across the Tabuk region. Continuation or adjustment of the route in future seasons will depend on passenger demand and network planning.
Why it matters
Direct international flights make Tabuk more accessible to visitors and help open the region to new tourism markets. For residents and businesses in the northwest, additional routes can support local hospitality, retail, and travel activity, while offering travelers more direct options to and from the Kingdom.
The operation is described as seasonal for 2026, with the airport continuing to work toward broadening its route network in line with growing tourism interest in the region.
