Arabic Learning Games Platform Launched Online

A new Arabic-language gaming platform has been launched by the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, offering a unified digital portal for language games in Saudi Arabia. The platform is available online at games.ksaa.gov.sa and is designed to make learning Arabic more engaging through interactive play.

In its pilot phase, the portal offers more than 50 interactive Arabic games, spanning lexical, educational, and entertainment categories that draw on linguistic data in a competitive format. The Academy plans to expand the platform to more than 100 games, supported by a database of over 15,000 questions.

The platform is aimed at a wide audience, including the general public, Arabic-language specialists, learners of Arabic as a foreign language, and users of different age groups and proficiency levels. Access is web-based, and normal use does not require Absher, Muqeem, Qiwa, Najiz, Nafath, or other government e-services. No subscription fees or in-app pricing details have been publicly specified.

Learning through play

The portal combines learning with play through competitive interactive games and diversified language experiences tailored to different interests and skill levels. Planned features include a "Language Games League" that will allow institutions to organize onsite or remote competitions, and a "Create your language game" tool enabling educators and institutions to design custom Arabic educational content.

The games portal is distinct from the Academy's broader "Ahlan Wa Sahlan" educational platform, focusing specifically on gamified interactive titles rather than full course structures. Presented as an ongoing initiative during the "Year of Artificial Intelligence," the service has no listed expiry dates or time-limited passes. For residents, expats, and learners across the Kingdom, the platform offers a free and accessible way to strengthen Arabic language skills.
