Jeddah Tenders New Prince Fawaz Rain Drainage Network

Jeddah Municipality has invited contractors to submit bids for building a new rainwater drainage network serving the Prince Fawaz neighborhood in Jeddah, with an estimated contract value of about SAR 225 million (roughly USD 60 million). The tender is open now, with a bid submission deadline of 12 October 2026.

the project scope covers the construction of manholes, stormwater catch basins, connections to existing manholes, and restoration of road surfaces once the works are complete. The aim is to collect and channel stormwater in order to reduce flooding risks along residential streets and low-lying areas of Prince Fawaz.

The tender, titled "Implementing Rainwater Drainage Solutions in Prince Fawaz Neighborhood 20977," carries a document fee of SAR 1,000 and sets a contract duration of 24 months for implementation. It is listed under tender notice number 76454545 and GT reference number 143843301.

Why it matters

Heavy rainfall has historically caused water to pool in parts of Jeddah, disrupting traffic and daily life for residents. A dedicated drainage network in Prince Fawaz is intended to ease those seasonal challenges and improve safety in the area's streets.

The project forms part of a broader rainwater drainage program in Jeddah that includes multiple works across the city. By the second quarter of 2026, 19 projects were ongoing and 20 had been completed, with around 795,000 meters of drainage networks laid during that quarter.

Contractors interested in the opportunity should note the SAR 1,000 document fee and the 12 October 2026 deadline. Municipal infrastructure tenders of this kind are typically handled through official government procurement and municipal tender channels.
