Jeddah Municipality has extended the deadline for submitting bids on the rainwater-drainage network project in the Prince Fawaz neighbourhood to 15 November 2026, pushing it back from the previous deadline of 12 October 2026.
The project is valued at approximately SAR 225 million (about US$60 million). It is designed to collect and convey rainwater away from residential streets and low-lying areas across Prince Fawaz, one of Jeddah's densely populated districts.
The extension comes as Jeddah advances a wider programme to strengthen its stormwater infrastructure. A separate drainage project is moving forward for Zone BC in Old Zahraa within Jeddah Governorate, valued at around SAR 112.5 million (about US$30 million). Both schemes sit within the city's broader drainage plan, which also includes the King Abdullah Road–Falasteen Road tunnel project.
For residents, improved drainage is a practical priority. Networks that channel rainwater efficiently help reduce street flooding and water pooling during heavy rainfall, protecting homes, roads and daily movement in affected neighbourhoods.
The municipality has not published details on tender fees, contractor eligibility steps, bid-bond amounts, validity periods, or the official electronic tender channel for the Prince Fawaz project.
