New Platform Digitizes Services for 85,000+ Mosques

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has launched a new electronic mosque affairs system that automates and unifies services across 85,968 mosques and Eid prayer grounds throughout the Kingdom. The platform spans 13 ministry branches and 151 cities and governorates, serving around 14,647 users.

The system is designed to standardize procedures and data for mosque services nationwide, providing unified workflows, reliable indicators, and reports that support oversight and decision-making by the ministry.

the platform covers the full lifecycle of a mosque — from needs assessment and charitable contributions for construction, to registration, operation, field inspections, maintenance, asset management, performance indicators, and decision-support functions.

Linked to the Masajid app for the public

The platform is integrated with the Masajid mobile application, which serves mosque visitors and contributors. Through the app, users can search for mosques, report issues, evaluate mosques, and submit requests to build, maintain, or arrange cleaning services. The app also displays prayer times, Qibla direction, and contribution opportunities.

Access for mosque personnel is provided through a dedicated electronic system and a related application for mosque staff, launched in partnership with a telecommunications provider to support connectivity and digital operation across the Kingdom. The initiative is part of the ministry's wider digital transformation program, which also includes electronic transaction platforms, reports management, and virtual workspaces used heavily during the Hajj and Umrah seasons.

The mosque services platform and Masajid app are officially operated by the ministry and are separate from other government portals. As of mid-2026, no official fees are specified for these services, with reporting, evaluation, and construction, maintenance, and cleaning requests presented as free beneficiary services.
