Next Gen Games Camp Launches for Youth in Riyadh

A new youth-focused game-development camp has been launched in Riyadh for 2026, giving young residents a hands-on introduction to building their own games. Called the Next Gen Games Camp, the program is a joint initiative between Savvy Games Group and King Salman Science Oasis, aimed at nurturing the next generation of Saudi game creators.

The camp is an interactive summer program built around game design, teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving. Running for a total of 20 hours, it welcomes participants with no previous game-design experience, making it accessible to beginners who are curious about how games are made.

The program is designed for young people aged 10 to 17 and is divided into two tracks: a junior track for ages 10 to 13, and a senior track for ages 14 to 17. This split allows the content to be tailored to each age group as participants learn to collaborate and bring their ideas to life.

Who Can Join

To take part, an applicant must fall within the target age group, be able to work as part of a team, commit to attending all program days, and have approval from a parent or guardian. Registration is handled through the King Salman Science Oasis program page.

The initiative reflects the growing role of the gaming and digital-creativity sector in the Kingdom, offering families in Riyadh a structured, skill-building option for the summer. For young residents interested in technology and design, the camp provides an early gateway into a fast-expanding field. Families are encouraged to check the program page for the latest details before signing up.
