The Saudi Sports for All Federation is expanding its community sports programs across several regions of the Kingdom, part of a wider five-year strategy aimed at boosting participation, improving infrastructure, and raising public awareness of active lifestyles.
A key part of the 2026 activity is the "10 Billion Steps" initiative, running from July to December 2026 and available through the federation's app. The program encourages residents to log daily physical activity and contribute to a collective national target.
The federation's strategy also highlights region-specific programs, including "Move with Us" across more than 12 cities, along with youth tournaments and games in cities such as Abha and Tabuk. Public-park activations have been planned for Riyadh, Al-Khobar, and Abha, featuring multi-sport programs, running and walking activities, equipment rental, and community academies.
Youth participation remains a documented focus of the federation's work, with summer camps for ages 6 to 18 and "Tennis for All" programs offered in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province. A 2026 memorandum of understanding with King Abdulaziz University also sets out joint community sports programs using university facilities, with an annual participation target of at least 500 people.
The expansion comes as a new sports law took effect on 11 June 2026, giving relevant entities one year to comply, with a possible one-year extension. For residents and families, the wider rollout means more accessible ways to stay active close to home, whether through park programs, youth tournaments, or app-based challenges.
