TOURISE Awards 2027 Open Nominations, Add Wellness

Public nominations have opened for the second edition of the TOURISE Awards, honoring outstanding travel destinations for the 2027 edition. Nominations run from 1 September to 19 November 2026 and are submitted online through the TOURISE awards portal.

The most notable change this year is the addition of a new Best Wellness Destination category, aimed at recognizing places that stand out for health and wellness tourism. It joins a lineup of existing categories including Best Arts and Culture Destination, Best Adventure Destination, Best Food and Culinary Destination, Best Shopping Destination, and Best Entertainment Destination.

Who can be nominated

The awards recognize destinations rather than individual venues. To be eligible, a nominee must cover a defined geographic area, such as a city, region, or specific site. It must also have a distinct identity built on its culture, landscapes, and attractions, and be supported by a tourism authority responsible for its management.

Nominations are handled entirely through the TOURISE awards portal. No fee is listed for taking part, and there is no separate government channel involved in this process.

For residents and visitors across the Kingdom, the new wellness category reflects the growing interest in health-focused travel, from spa and wellness retreats to destinations built around relaxation and recovery. The public nomination window gives the community a direct way to put forward the places they believe deserve recognition, whether well-known landmarks or emerging spots that offer something distinctive to travelers.
