Seventy emerging Saudi "cultural ambassadors" have completed the Young Leaders Program for Global Communication, a government initiative run under the Salam Project for Cultural Communication. The graduates form the program's sixth cohort and are being prepared to promote the Kingdom's achievements and peacemaking efforts on the international stage.
The program aims to develop young Saudis' skills in cultural communication, international dialogue, media, diplomacy, and representation of Saudi Arabia in global forums, in line with رؤية السعودية 2030. Recent editions run for about three months of intensive training that includes lectures, workshops, panel discussions, and field visits.
Each cohort typically brings together around 60 to 70 participants, with cumulative graduates now reported at more than 400 across multiple batches. The training focuses on cultural dialogue, international communication skills, analysis of global perceptions of the Kingdom, and presenting Saudi Arabia's cultural and humanitarian achievements.
How to apply for the ninth edition
Registration for the ninth edition is now open to Saudi citizens aged between 20 and 32 who have strong English proficiency and a demonstrated interest in cultural communication and international representation. Admission is competitive; one recent cohort reported an acceptance rate of about 3.5 percent.
Applications are handled directly through the Salam Project's own online platform, with a process that includes online registration, screening, initial admission, and personal interviews before final selection. Registration for the ninth edition remains open until 26/01/1448 AH, corresponding to late June 2026.
The initiative reflects a wider national push to equip young Saudis with the skills to represent the Kingdom abroad and share its cultural and humanitarian story with global audiences.
