King Abdulaziz Library Translates Over 100 Books

King Abdulaziz Public Library has announced that it has translated more than 100 books into Arabic, drawing on works originally published in international languages that cover Saudi Arabia’s history, the biography of King Abdulaziz, and Arab-Islamic culture.

The translated titles reach beyond history to include literary, scientific, artistic, and library-science subjects. the works were rendered into Arabic from 12 languages, among them English, French, German, Korean, Hindi, Urdu, Czech, Turkish, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, and Chinese.

The library also holds a collection of 640 rare translated books, with the oldest volume dating back to the early 19th century. Together, these efforts form part of a wider drive to make specialized global knowledge available to Arabic-speaking readers.

Why it matters

For residents and readers across the Kingdom, the initiative widens access to research and reference material that was previously out of reach for those who do not read the original languages. It supports students, researchers, and the wider community interested in Saudi heritage and Arab-Islamic culture.

The library’s official website provides access to its publications, along with an official store for purchasing available titles. Current individual book prices were not specified.
