New Murabba Stadium Proposed for 2034 World Cup

A new stadium planned for northwest Riyadh, known as New Murabba Stadium, is listed among the proposed venues in Saudi Arabia's bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. The venue is still at the proposal stage and is not yet an operating public facility.

the stadium is designed with a capacity of around 46,010 seats, with public materials describing it as having more than 45,000 seats. Under the proposed arrangement, it would host group-stage matches and Round-of-32 fixtures during the tournament.

The stadium was planned for completion by the end of 2032. At this stage, there is no 2026 confirmation that it will definitely host matches, and details such as its operating schedule remain to be announced.

What it means for the community

If it moves ahead as planned, New Murabba Stadium would add another major sports and entertainment landmark to the capital, supporting Riyadh's growing calendar of international events. For residents and expats, a new venue of this scale could bring more fixtures, jobs, and leisure options to the city in the years ahead.

For now, no ticket prices, opening hours, or public visitor access have been announced, and the stadium is not currently open to the public. Saudi Living will share updates as official details are confirmed.
