Abdulaziz Al-Nahdi has been appointed head of the sports section at Okaz newspaper, with the appointment taking effect on 14 September 2026.
The decision was issued by Jameel Al-Theyabi, editor-in-chief and general supervisor of Saudi Gazette, placing Al-Nahdi in charge of leading the newspaper's sports coverage and editorial team.
The move comes as sports journalism continues to draw wide interest across the Kingdom, where readers follow local leagues, national teams, and major international competitions closely. Appointments of this kind shape how sports news is covered and delivered to audiences.
The appointment involves no fees, charges, government procedures, or validity period, and reflects an internal editorial decision within the newspaper's leadership.
