Saudi researcher Dr. Shaza Mohammed Abo'Ouf has been selected to serve as an international triathlon judge at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games in Japan, where triathlon competitions are scheduled in Gamagori, Aichi Prefecture, on September 20–21, 2026.
She is the only Saudi representative among 24 international triathlon judges chosen for the event, and she was nominated for the role by the Saudi Triathlon Federation.
Dr. Abo'Ouf is a consultant in therapeutic and sports nutrition who specializes in quality-of-life and holistic wellness programs. She graduated from the University of Glasgow's College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences.
Why it matters
Her selection marks another step in the growing presence of Saudi expertise in international sports officiating. Serving on an elite panel at a major continental event places a Saudi name among the officials responsible for upholding competition standards across Asia.
The appointment also highlights the expanding roles Saudi specialists are taking on in sports science and nutrition, areas that continue to gain attention as the Kingdom broadens its investment in athletic development and community wellness.
