A Chinese contractor, China Airport Construction Group (CACC), has been awarded a main construction works contract within the Al-Fursan master development in northeast Riyadh, advancing one of the National Housing Company's (NHC) largest residential projects in the capital.
The awarded scope covers the Al-Ruba project inside Al-Fursan and includes 48 eight-storey residential buildings comprising 2,556 apartments. The contract adds momentum to a suburb that already stands as a flagship of NHC's housing pipeline.
A large-scale Riyadh suburb
The wider Al-Fursan suburb currently spans about 35 million square metres and is planned to deliver more than 50,000 to 69,000 housing units for roughly 250,000 residents. In 2023, NHC and the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing signed investment agreements worth around SAR 24 billion to launch the development.
Al-Fursan also hosts several other NHC-linked residential projects. These include a SAR 5.2 billion development by Retal Urban Development for 4,839 units over about 1 million square metres, a SAR 2.64 billion project with Mountain View covering 930,000 square metres with 1,923 units, and the Adeem Al-Fursan project with a construction contract value of SAR 298,127,200 excluding VAT.
As of early 2026, NHC has begun handing over more than 2,000 residential units in Al-Fursan, across the Nasaj Al-Fursan, Saraya Al-Fursan and Al-Athba phases, marking the first stage of delivery to residents.
For families in Riyadh, the project signals continued expansion of the capital's housing supply. Beneficiary registration and housing support are handled through official Saudi e-government platforms. No per-unit sale prices, reservation fees, or detailed payment plans specific to the Al-Ruba package have been publicly disclosed so far; only project-level contract values and unit counts are currently available.
