Riyadh Marathon 2026: Fees, Ages, Registration Open

Registration is now open for the Riyadh Marathon 2026, with runners able to sign up through the event's official registration site and receive a confirmation email containing a QR code. The marathon this year has been described as part of the Kingdom's social fabric, drawing wide participation across the community.

Organizers have set four race categories with different entry fees: SAR 149 for the full marathon, SAR 119 for the half marathon, SAR 85 for the 10 km race, and SAR 62 for the fun run. Age requirements vary by category, with participants needing to be 20 or older for the full marathon, 18 or older for the half marathon, and 17 or older for the 10 km race. The fun run is open to all ages, with children required to be accompanied by an adult.

Officials Join the Run

This year's event has seen participation from senior government figures, including the Minister of Health, Fahad AlJalajel, with several ministers and vice ministers also reported to have signed up. Their involvement reflects the growing profile of the marathon and its alignment with the Sport for All concept and the national Live Healthy initiative.

A public access period was reported from January 28 to 30 at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. Those seeking to take part can register through the official Riyadh Marathon site, while a dedicated official FAQ contact email is available for assistance.

For residents and expats in the capital, the marathon offers an accessible way to be part of a growing national push toward healthier, more active living — whether joining the competitive races or simply taking part in the family-friendly fun run.
